They do it because I give them something they want more than the money. That is the way it works.
Unless you have a rich relative who loves you, nobody is going to hand over wads of cash to you for no reason.
You might not like paying your electricity bill, but you would rather be without the money or the electricity?
Incidentally, you should try being happy about paying your bills. Being happy about having the money to do it is a good way to get more.
But I’m getting off track.
Why am I talking about people giving you money?
It’s because of a comment on another post on this blog.
Something that just keeps coming up whenever manifestation is talked about.
Okay, so she can manifest anything she wants. Well then why does she need our money? Why not help others just because?
So she can manifest anything she wants?
Does that mean she can pluck money out of the air? No!
Nobody has ever been able to do that.
What the she in question does is to write books and offer other resources.
Many people including me have bought her products and she has become wealthy.
Plenty of them have been happy to write testimonials about what they have gained from her work.
She provides value and gets paid.
So why does this commentor have a problem with that?
Well first, there is this idea that manifesting gurus can make money by magic so they should give away money and provide free stuff.
I am sure that they all do give away money to charities of their choice. And not only because it is a good way to allow more to come in.
They also provide a lot of valuable resources free. (I like to point you towards those on this blog).
But if they gave away everything, they would not be able to do it for very long before they were broke.
I think the comment also displays a certain amount of resentment towards rich people.
That is not a good attitude to have if you ever want to be one of them.
You can’t want something and at the same time think it is bad.
Very hard to believe someone’s words when they are simultaneously reaching into your pocket to pluck out your hard earned money.
You can’t reach into somebodies pocket from a website. They have a choice whether to buy from you or not.
You make your own decisions and take responsibility for your own actions.
You can never make any progress in life while you hold the belief that somebody else is responsible for where you are.
I wasted a long time feeling like a victim before I learned that.
But the worst thing about the comment is that it totally misses the point.
It’s not about the money and the stuff.
Look at the number of lottery winners who quickly end up back where they started or even worse off.
It’s about the person you have to become in order to get the money and the stuff.
It’s the journey. That is the real prize.
Somebody giving you a handout does nothing for you really.
What do you think? Are the gurus out to help you or cheat you?
