Tapping Therapy – The Tapping Solution
When I heard about tapping therapy I wouldn’t say I was skeptical about it.
I just thought it was totally nuts.
I am a self confessed self help junkie and I have tried a lot of stuff. A lot of stuff.
But this was just a step too far.
Tapping on my face while I talked to myself about my problems? I was just not going to do that.
I think you could say that there was a certain amount of resistance to the concept.
World tapping summit
I mentioned the World Tapping Summit here on the blog for the benefit of those who might be interested but that definitely didn’t include me.
I was already using the Sedona Method so I could see the benefit of releasing techniques. I just didn’t need another one and certainly not this one.
So I dismissed the Tapping Solution and went on my merry way.
I don’t even remember how it came about now but I happened across the work of Brad Yates.
He was featured in the Tapping Solution documentary film although that didn’t register with me at the time.
I just found him to be an instantly engaging character. You can’t help liking him and I was willing to listen to what he had to say.
And what he said was that tapping works.
I felt inclined to believe him and give it a try. And it does work.
So what is tapping?
Thought Field Therapy was developed by a psychologist called Roger Callahan. He was dealing with a patient whose phobia had so far resisted standard techniques.
He just tried out this totally off the wall idea and…
The results were amazing.
It began in 1980 but it employs the acupuncture meridians that have been in use in China for thousands of years.
The Chinese believe that many of our physical and psychological problems are a result of disruption to the flow of energy around the body.
The acupuncture points allow us to interact with these energy circuits and restore the natural flow.
Emotional Freedom Technique
Emotional Freedom Technique, (EFT) was an early offshoot of the original technique.
Thought Field Therapy involved diagnosing the problem and using a specific set of tapping points to address it.
EFT tapping is a simplified system that is very easy for anyone to learn. There is only one tapping sequence that is used for everything.
The only thing that changes is the words used.
There are plenty of EFT scripts available but it is best not to get to hung up on the exact words. It is more important to home in on the emotion that troubles you.
There is a remarkable range of both physical and psychological problems that can be helped by tapping therapy and very quickly.
Sometimes you can begin to feel the lifting of the burden after a single round of tapping.
I am happy that I gave it another chance and I think it is important to share it.
When I first heard about it, I couldn’t have imagined that it would become a part of my daily routine.
I can certainly understand if you are skeptical about it. I’ve been there.
Some people go as far as to say that emotional freedom technique is a scam.
Don’t let them rob you of this opportunity.
I don’t ask you to believe me. Don’t believe what Nick Ortner or Carol Look say about EFT.
Try it for yourself
There is more than enough free information about tapping therapy on the tapping solution website to get you started.
Go there now and you can be testing it for yourself in a few minutes.

I haven’t gone into too much detail here as the whole concept is explained much better there.
What issue would you like to address?
The documentary film now known as The Tapping Solution used to be called Try It On Everything.
Why not try it on something and decide for yourself if it works.
I have already mentioned the World Tapping Summit. It will be taking place again in May 2012.
It is a great way to find out all about tapping. Some of the world’s leading tapping experts are assemble to teach you everything you need to know about the many ways you can benefit from tapping.
